Ranchi: Jharkhand's Hemant Soren government has stepped up the ongoing mini lockdown in the state. According to the government's new order, the lockdown has been extended until May 13. All shops, establishments, and offices will remain closed during this period. The government has set aside many things in the new guidelines. In which shops related to medicines, health care, medical equipment will remain open. At the same time, fair price Public Distribution System shops will open by 2 pm. Hotels and restaurants have been allowed only home delivery.

In Jharkhand, 132 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours while 5,974 new cases of infection have been registered. According to a bulletin issued by the health department on Wednesday, a total of 3,205 people have lost their lives in the state so far, while 2,57,345 people have been confirmed infected. So far 1,94,433 people have recovered in the state, while 59,707 patients are undergoing treatment. A total of 36,209 samples have been tested in the state in the last 24 hours.

Police have collected a fine of Rs 25 lakh from 31,131 people who did not wear masks during the lockdown in Jharkhand since April 23. A Jharkhand police spokesperson said that a total fine of Rs 25,01,940 has been collected from those who do not wear masks in violation of the covid-19 protocol during the lockdown in the last two weeks.
