The Justice Sirpurkar Commission, which probed the alleged encounter of four accused in the rape and murder of a veterinary doctor, questioned four tehsildars conducting the Panchnama of the accused. The Tehsildars of Farooqnagar, Kondurgu, Kotturu, Keshampeta conducted the Panchnama of the accused in the Disha case.

Justice Sirpurkar Commission's inquiry will continue till September 25. Till then the commission will also question Rachakonda commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, who headed the SIT at that time. So far, 14 members have been questioned by the commission in three phases and on behalf of the government, Home Department Secretary Ravi Gupta appeared before the commission. The commission also questioned SIT investigating officer Surender Reddy and recorded the statements of the accused families.

In November 2019, the gang rape and murder of a 26-year-old veterinarian in Shamshabad near Hyderabad sparked outrage across India. His body was found in Shadnagar on 28 November 2019, the day after his murder. According to the Cyberabad Metropolitan Police, four suspects were arrested and they confessed to raping and killing the doctor. On 6 December 2019, the four accused were killed in an alleged police encounter on the Bangalore Hyderabad National Highway.
