Cyber police achieved major breakthrough, arrested 11 criminals from Jamtara

Jamtara: Cyber police have achieved great success in Jamtara, a country's biggest success for cybercrime. Cyber police have arrested 11 suspected cybercriminals while taking major action. They have recovered 27 mobiles, 37 SIM cards, 8 ATM cards, 2 cheque books, 8 passbooks, 1 laptop, 1 bike and 1 Aadhaar card. All the criminals are said to be residents of Karamatand and Narayanpur police station areas. The case is of Jamtara cyber police station area. Superintendent of Police Deepak Sinha held a press conference at Jamtara cyber police station and informed about the major action.

In early September, the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police arrested 14 cybercriminals associated with the Jamtara gang. The cyber cell of Delhi Police had interrogated the criminals strictly, which led to fresh revelations. The gang had admitted to cheating more than 1500 people in 27 states of the country. The gang had cheated these 1500 people of more than Rs 30 crore. Police said the Jamtara gang is by far the gang that cheats the highest number of people in the country.

The Saipad unit of Delhi Police had succeeded in arresting 14 accused of Jamtara gang by conducting Operation Cyber Prahar Part-2. At the same time, the police had succeeded in unearthing the long-running fraud racket.
