Former Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra has moved the Delhi High Court against the disqualification of Delhi Assembly Speaker Ramnivas Goyal from the post of MLA. Questioning the disqualification, Kapil Mishra filed a petition seeking to re-issue the verdict. on which to be heard in court.

On Friday, Delhi Aam Aadmi Party rebel MLA Kapil Mishra was disqualified. Delhi Assembly Speaker Ramnivas Goyal had disqualified him from membership of the Assembly. Kapil Mishra is alleged to have campaigned for prime minister Narendra Modi to be re-elected as PM in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
For your information, Kapil Mishra was an Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Karaval Nagar in north-eastern Delhi. Kapil Mishra, who was once a close ally of Arvind Kejriwal, was also a minister in the Aam Aadmi Party government but was removed from the post of minister in May 2017. Now with disqualification, their assembly membership has expired.
