Karnataka bags 14 top spots in NIRF rankings

In the India Ranking 2022 list, which was announced by the Ministry of Education on July 15, 2022, the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, was once again named the nation's top educational institution by placing second among institutes of higher learning. The organisation also achieved the top spot in the areas of University and Research.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made the announcement today on the seventh iteration of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the Ministry of Education.

According to their areas of activity, such as overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental, and research, the NIRF has ranked the institutes.
In all categories, 11 institutions from Karnataka were listed among the top 10. The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) all maintained their prior rankings from 2021.

IISc maintained its second place in the "Overall" category on the list of best Indian universities starting in 2021. Indian Institute of Technology Madras claimed first place.
