Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Tuesday issued a new order in view of the corona situation in the state, with only patients with serious diseases visiting the hospital for the next two weeks. The government has urged all other patients with mild illnesses not to visit the hospital. A notification has been issued by Anil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
It says similar decisions were taken to prevent congestion and prevent the spread of corona. Karnataka witnessed a one-time increase in corona infection cases and 32,793 people were found positive. Due to this, 7 people also lost their lives due to this disease. Out of 7 deaths, 5 are from Bengaluru Urban and one each from Chikkaballapura and Mysuru. With 32,793 new cases, the total number of positive patients in the state has gone up to 31,86,040. Of these, 38,418 people have died. Of the new cases on Saturday, 22,284 were from Bengaluru Urban, where 2,479 patients were discharged.
According to media reports, two medicines required to treat the virus have also been reduced in Karnataka, which is facing a sharp jump in corona cases. Karnataka's stock should currently have 11 lakh dexamethasone vaccines and 10,000 posaconazole vaccines, but the state currently has only 50,000 and 1,200 vaccines respectively.
