Bangalore: Police in Basavanpura village under Ramnagar district of Karnataka on Tuesday (July 12, 2022) raided a garment factory and arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals working here. In this case, the Karnataka Police said that all the accused had illegally entered India from Bangladesh in the month of May. Fake Aadhaar cards have also been recovered from the arrested Bangladeshis.

According to media reports, Ramnagar Superintendent of Police KÂ Santosh Babu said, "Ramnagar rural police have arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals living here and working with fake ID proof. They worked in a garment factory. ID cards of Odisha, West Bengal and Assam have been recovered from their possession.'' According to Ramnagar Superintendent of Police, K Santosh Babu, "All the seven people have told the interrogation that they had entered India illegally. All of them had reached Karnataka through a broker. Documents of their being Bangladeshi nationals have also been recovered from their possession.''
According to media reports, after entering India, all 7 people had made their fake Aadhaar cards at different addresses through a broker. In the first week of June, they reached Doddaballapur district of Karnataka and then moved to Ramnagar district near Bengaluru. After this, he started working in a garment factory in Ramnagar. It is said that these people had also rented a house in the same area. At the same time, the police are now also searching for the broker who helped all of them reach Ramnagar. Along with this, the police are now also investigating the owner of the garment factory to see how he gave jobs to these Bangladeshis. At the same time, the police are also investigating from this angle whether these people came to Karnataka only for jobs or were working here under some conspiracy. He said that soon all these people would be shifted to the detention centre in Bengaluru.
