Recently, he reviewed the reconstruction work in Kedarnath Dham through video conferencing amidst the situation arising in the country regarding Corona infection. He also made many important suggestions regarding the temple complex and the route. He asked to make some changes for the spiritual experience in the route from Rambara to Dham. He also expressed a wish to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat to visit Baba Kedar soon.
He assured the state government that another two hundred crore rupees would be provided for the reconstruction work. He gave instructions to prepare a master plan for Badrinath Dham and send it to the center. At the time of disaster in Kedarnath in 2013, Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He had reached Uttarakhand to visit Kedarnath, but the government did not allow him to visit Kedarnath. However, at that time, he had conducted a special campaign to evacuate the trapped pilgrims from Gujarat. He had done a long meditation in a cave near Gurudchatti in the eighties.
