The One and only leader from India inivited to speak on the occasion of United Nations Public Service Day, Shailaja, Kerala Health Minister warns state of Second total lockdown. 

Kerala, the first state to register COVID-19 cases through its continued effort maintained low mortality rate and flattened the curve. United Nations honoured the Minister for her efforts in fighting against Corona pandemic.She was invited to discuss about her strategies adopted in tackling COVID-19 including early detention, mobile testing van and so on.

with everhigh history of 7000 new cases on september 27, 2020 minister warned public to follow Health Ministry regulations. As the regulations were thrown out people start to protest, mass gatherings are happening. 

She added around 72 percent of those died are above 60 years. If more the number of cases, with high density of population and the people with lifestyle diseases will be a challenge to the state. 

As of yesterday, 1,67,939 cases has been registered of which 1,14,530 patients were recovered. This shows the recovery rate is still stable..

656 people died in the state due to corona illness, which is 0.39 percent of the total cases. of which 72 percent died are above 60 years. 

In spite of the country's regulation, a COVID-19 positive patient once turned negative and no symptoms were shown for 4-5 days can be discharged but kerala discharges after 10-15 days. 

Minister added Health Ministry is working on every small factors to stabilize the curve and advised people to follow regulations and cooperate the frontline workers to avoid second total lockdown.
