Indore city administration on Wednesday slapped a fine of 30,000 RS on yum foods. Administration claimed that KFC is using bread with non nutritive information on the product. City ADM(Additional District Magistrate) Rakhi Sahay imposed the fine saying that the company has violated norms of the food safety and standards Act-2006.

The food safety team raided at the KFC outlet and collected some of the samples which were then sent Bhopal Laboratory for testing. The results of tests were then submitted to ADM, who took the action to fine out the outlet.

He said “there were certain irregularities of misbranding found, including nutritive value, calorie count and ingredients were different from the mentioned one .“ Administration charged file on KFC owner, Baked best food limited, Maharashtra based bread manufacturer, and Radha Krishna foodland pvt. Ltd. These four were taken in investigation as only company cannot blame for a cause.
