Leh: Officials in the Union Territory of Ladakh said on Saturday that nine fresh cases of corona patients have been reported in Ladakh in the last 24 hours. With these latest cases, the total number of corona cases in the state has reached 20,378. While the number of active cases in the Union Territory is 65. Coming to corona deaths, 207 covid related deaths have been reported in the state, 149 deaths have been registered in Leh, and 58 in Kargil. Since last year's epidemic, 20,106 people have recovered from the disease.
About 5,000 people were tested for coronavirus in twin districts on Friday and seven of them were found infected in Kargil and two in Leh, officials said. According to a report released by the Union Health Ministry, 38,628 new corona cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Within 24 hours, 617 people have died of the disease. With these new cases, 40,017 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. With the new figure of recovered patients, the number of people who have been cured by fighting the disease across the country has gone up to 3,10,55,861.
On the other hand, with the latest cases, the total number of corona-infected people across the country has gone up to 3,18,95,385. The number of active cases has been recorded at 4,12,153. The number of recoverable cases after treatment from the disease is 3,10,55,861 and the total number of deaths has been recorded at 4,27,371.
