Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has endeavoured to put an end to reports that his younger son and leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav will be made the national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Lalu said those who are spreading the mews of Tejashwi being made the national president of the party are 'fools.' Let us know that on February 10, the national executive meeting of the Rashtriya Janata Dal is scheduled to be held in Patna. Lalu is likely to come to Patna on February 9 to attend it. It is being said that in the national executive, Lalu can hand over the reins of the party to Tejashwi and declare him as the national president of the party.

Amidst these reports, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad said, "'There are stupid people who run the news of this kind. These are stupid people who spread such things. What will happen you will all get to know.'' Speculations of Tejashwi becoming the national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal are also rife because of the verdict of the special CBI court in Ranchi in the biggest incident of the fodder scam (illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from the Doranda treasury) on February 15. 

It is feared that Lalu's problem, in this case, may increase. On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav's elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav has also brushed aside reports of Tejashwi becoming the national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. He said his father Lalu Prasad is the national president of the party and will continue to do so.
