Rishikesh: Rishikesh's housing development colony was rocked on Tuesday morning when people were seen fleeing Leopard. The sound of people shouting also created a stir in the surrounding areas. On seeing Leopard, people reported it to the forest department. The team has reached the spot. Rishikesh Range Officer Mahendra Singh Rawat has said that Leopard entered Shiva Enclave Lane No.3 of Housing Development at 6.30 am. The leopard was going to make cows tied up in a cow-shed his food. But seeing Leopard, there was a stampede among the cows when the cow herder rushed to the spot.

Leopard started running away from an empty plot when the cow herder raised an alarm. Where a milkman saw Leopard. Leopard fled towards the sterling factory nearby when the milkman screamed. The forest ministry team is on the lookout for Leopard.

The area is already affected by Leopard. Even a few months ago, the forest department put a cage here and put a Leopard and a cub in the cage. According to reports, a cage has still been installed to trace Leopard in the affected area. Meanwhile, the forest department team has also asked people in the vicinity to be careful.
