On Saturday, locusts in Rajasthan left the villages and entered the urban area of Jodhpur. It reached Jodhpur via Jaisalmer-Barmer. The swarm of locusts shattered due to the storm and rain. However, before this the locusts licked many trees. Meanwhile, locusts caused havoc once again on Saturday in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. However, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and other states suffering from locust parties are making joint plans to deal with it.

People came out after seeing locusts hovering in Kudi Bhagatasni, Madhuban Housing Board and Basni area of Jodhpur on Saturday. Some people tried to drive it away by playing plates and empty iron cans. People climbed on the roofs of houses and ran a plate so that it could be banished. The team of the Agriculture Department and the locust control team were informed about the arrival of the locust team in Malunga area near Tinwari a day earlier. When the teams started the process of controlling it, it turned to the city of Jodhpur. Virendra Singh Solanki, deputy director of the agriculture department, told that this locust was very small which was scattered in the storm that came in Jodhpur and went in the direction of the wind.

The locusts once again caused havoc in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Vegetable crops including greenery destroyed in other villages including Majhera, Kolaras, Raja Ki Mudhairi, Sesai and Bhaisana located at some distance from Shivpuri town. The mango crop was also completely destroyed, due to which the farmers have suffered a lot. In some areas, drones sprayed pesticides on locusts with drones. Due to the strong winds towards Rajasthan, the locust team has reached 120 kilometers from Punjab. Of course the locust party has gone away with the wind, but the danger has not averted. According to the Agriculture Department, this danger will remain till the end of July.
