Ujjain: New corruption cases are being reported in the country every day. After which it has become impossible to control corruption, the latest case of corruption has been reported from Nagda tehsil of Ujjain district. The Ujjain Lokayukta team caught Patwari Jitendra Singh Ranawat red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000.
Let us tell you that patwari had demanded a bribe from the applicant Vishwa Pratap Singh for submitting a report of demarcation of agricultural land in the name of his father and mother to the tehsil office. Following this, the applicant lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police Anil Vishwakarma at the Lokayukta Ujjain. Inspector Basant Srivastava today nabbed Patwari Jitendra Ranawat at his residence Nagda.
The team is said to have included Basant Srivastava Inspector, Lokayukta Ujjain Aarakshan Vishal, Sandeep, Mahendra, Umesh and Kunal Purohit and action is on at patwari's residence in Nagda. A case has been registered against Patwari under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
