NEW DELHIH: World Federation of Tamil Organization President P. Nedumaran revealed that Velupilla Prabhakaran, who was the head of LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam), is not dead, he is still alive.

Nedumaran said that it is not possible to say where he is now. This is because the Rajapakse regime has ended in Sri Lanka. Speaking to the media in Thanjavur, Nedumaran clarified that Prabhakaran is healthy and the disclosure is with his knowledge.
My family is related to Prabhakaran. But it is not possible to clarify where Prabhakaran is staying at present. "It is being disclosed with the permission of Prabhakaran's family members," he said. Nedumaran also claimed that Prabhakaran will elaborate on the plan regarding 'Tamil Ezham'.

The Sri Lankan Army stated that Velupilla Prabhakaran was killed on May 18, 2009. On May 19, the Sri Lankan Army shared pictures of Velupilla Prabhakaran's body stating that his former colleague Muralidharan had identified it. However, Nedumaran's revelation denied all this. Neither the Sri Lankan government nor the military are ready to comment on these revelations.

Prabhakaran was reportedly a prime accused in the assassination of Ex-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in a suicide bombing at Sriperumbudur in 1991. He was also charged in some other assassination cases in Sri Lanka and LTTE was declared a banned terror organisation.
