The cases of corona are constantly increasing in Madhya Pradesh. News has come to give relief to the state. The Madhya Pradesh government has declared nine districts corona free. Earlier, cases of Covid-19 were registered in these districts, now there is no case of Corona here. Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Mohammad Suleman said that these nine districts are- Barwani, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Sheopur, Alirajpur, Harda, Shahdol, Tikamgarh, and Betul. All these are free from corona infection.

However, these districts have been declared free from virus infection during the review meeting held on Friday. Suleman said that apart from this, no case of Covid-19 has been reported so far in eight districts of the state. The number of tests in the state has increased. He said that 5,822 swab samples were taken on Friday alone. 93,849 samples have been tested. As of Friday, 45 percent of the 4,595 coronavirus positive cases reported in the state was active. According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, as of May 1, cases of Covid-19 were reported in 32 districts. By May 15, the infection spread to 44 of 52 districts.

An official said that in some districts, after the arrival of migrant workers, new cases are coming up. He said that the first case was registered in Damoh district on Friday when the corona report of a migrant worker from Mumbai came positive. By Friday evening 239 patients had died due to the virus. According to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, 3970 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours and 103 people have died.
