The case is said to have been reported last Sunday night. The incident took place in Badi Jharia village of the buffer zone of Sanjay Tiger Reserve in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. Kiran, a woman from the Baiga tribe, was sitting near the fire with her three children so that they could not get cold.
Meanwhile, suddenly a leopard appeared there and in a moment grabbed his son Rahul with his jaw and fled. The woman was shocked to see this, but she kept herself calm. She then locked her two other children from the hut and immediately ran towards the forest where she saw the leopard carrying her son. Kiran then tried to scare the leopard with a stick and raised an alarm. The leopard may have been scared and fled leaving the child.
