Bhopal: Shivraj Singh Chauhan government of Madhya Pradesh has announced to speed up the process of legalizing illegal colonies of the state. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has told the officials that this work should be completed on schedule. On Tuesday, Minister Bhupendra Singh, during a review of departmental schemes in the ministry, asked the officials to take necessary action in time-limit regarding the legalization of illegal colonies.

He also asked for a proposal to implement the National Urban Azivika Mission in the newly formed 29 urban bodies soon. OPS Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing at the meeting Bhadoria, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Nitesh Vyas and Manish Singh and other officers were present. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan had announced the legalization of illegal colonies of the state in the 2018 assembly elections.

Work on this plan had also started during his government, but after the government came to power, the matter of legalizing illegal colonies in the Congress government went on the back burner. When CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan is again in the state, work on this scheme has started again.
