Thane: There is a ruckus about EVMs. A BSP leader threw ink on an EVM machine at the polling booth during voting for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. While throwing ink on EVMs, BSP leader Sunil Khambay also raised slogans of 'EVM Murdabad' and 'EVM won't do'. Seeing the chaos in the polling booth, the Maharashtra police caught the BSP leader and took him to the police station and are making inquiries. For the information, let us know that the main contest is between the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance (NDA) and Congress-NCP alliance in Maharashtra.

Talking about BJP alliance, BJP is contesting 150 seats, while Shiv Sena is contesting 124 seats. If we talk about the Congress, then it has fielded candidates for 147 seats, while NCP is contesting 121 seats. Exit polls of Maharashtra and Haryana elections have also come to an end. In both the states, the BJP is seen forming a coalition government.

According to a survey by India TV in Maharashtra, BJP and Shiv Sena are projected to get 230 seats, Congress and NCP 48 and other parties 10 seats. Similarly, according to the survey till date, BJP-Shiv Sena is estimated to get between 166-194 seats, Congress-NCP 72 to 90 seats and 22 to 34 seats to other parties.
