Mumbai: The corona infection rate in Maharashtra has declined to 10%. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope has recently issued a major statement. In fact, he has indicated last Saturday that the Government may consider relaxing some covid-19 restrictions in a phased manner after June 1. Yes, talking to a well-known website last Saturday, he said, "The government will assess the situation in the last week of May. If the corona infection rate is less than 10% and the number of active cases decreases, the state may consider relaxing certain restrictions".

At the same time, he further said, "In view of the third wave of corona, the government will take a cautious stand and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will announce the final decision. If the number of active cases is reduced and 50% of hospital beds are emptied, state authorities may gradually consider relaxing the restrictions"

Let us also tell you that Maharashtra has been witnessing a high rate of corona infection with other States for several weeks. The day-to-day transition here was growing rapidly but now the state has managed to bring its positivity rate below 15%.
