Mumbai: Maharashtra has been hit by a lockdown amid the ever increasing cases of corona and now there are reports of it being carried forward. Yes, the lockdown may proceed under the recent information received. In fact, this step can be taken to curb cases of infection. Under the information received, the lockdown has been proposed to be extended by 15 days. The proposal has been made in a cabinet meeting on behalf of the Health Ministry and ministers. The final decision on this is now to be taken by CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Some sources are getting information that CM Thackeray fully agrees with the proposal and the lockdown may go ahead though nothing is official so far. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope says corona infection is on the rise in several districts of the state. Due to this, it has been proposed to increase the lockdown once again. He said, the cabinet meeting has asked that the lockdown be extended again for the next 15 days in view of the transition.

According to him, the cabinet meeting proposes to extend the lockdown rules from May 16 to 30. Let us also tell you that the lockdown time is coming to an end on the coming Saturday. It remains to be seen whether the decision to increase the lockdown is taken.
