From May 31 to June 2, the Central Railway's Mumbai division will cancel 930 suburban train services for essential platform upgrades at Thane and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).

Details of the Blockages:

Thane Platform Work:

A 63-hour block will be in effect from 12:30 am on May 31 until 3:30 pm on June 2.

Affected lines include:

UP Slow Line from Kalva (CSMT end crossovers) to Thane (all crossovers)

DN Fast Line from Thane (all crossovers) to Kalva (all crossovers)

UP Fast Line from Kalva (all crossovers) to Thane (all crossovers)

CSMT Platform Work:

A 36-hour block will occur from 12:30 am on June 1 until 12:30 pm on June 2.

Services between CSMT and Byculla, as well as CSMT and Vadala Road, will be halted.

Affected lines include:

UP and DOWN Harbour lines between CSMT (including) and Vadala Road (excluding)

UP and DOWN slow lines between CSMT (including) and Byculla (excluding)

UP and DOWN fast lines between CSMT (including) and Byculla (excluding)

Impact on Commuters

During this period, 930 train services will be cancelled, and 444 services will end earlier than usual. Central Railway officials have requested businesses to allow employees to work from home to reduce inconvenience. They also advise people to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

These disruptions are essential for the infrastructure upgrades, which aim to provide long-term benefits for commuters.
