Method:

Preparing the dough:

  2. After this, add ghee to this mixture and mix it well. Mix the ghee and flour well, so that the ghee gets mixed evenly in the flour.
  3. Now add spinach puree to it and knead the dough by adding water little by little. Keep in mind that the dough should not be too hard, keep it slightly soft.

Setting the Dough:

  1. When the dough is kneaded well, wrap it in a polythene and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes. This will set the dough well and it will be easy to make mathri.

  1. After 30 minutes, take out the dough from the fridge and roll it slightly thick with the help of a rolling pin.
  2. Now cut this rolled dough into desired shape. You can cut it into round, square or any other shape.
  3. Put the cut pieces in hot oil and deep fry them. The oil should be on medium flame so that the mathris get cooked well from inside.
  4. When the mathris turn light golden and become crispy, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate.

  1. Hot Palak Mathri is ready. You can serve it with tomato sauce or green chutney. It can be given at breakfast time, with tea or even in children's lunch box.
