Kolkata: Recently, former BJP leader and Union Minister Yashwant Sinha have held the Trinamool Congress (TMC), but Mamata Banerjee has handed over the new responsibility to him as soon as he joins the party. The party has appointed Yashwant Sinha as vice president and member of the National Working Committee. Yashwant Sinha had taken membership of the party, at the TMC office in Kolkata.

Yashwant Sinha has assumed the post of finance minister and external affairs minister in the Vajpayee government, Sinha had lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and PM Narendra Modi. He said that at the moment of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the BJP believed in consensus but today's BJP believes in crushing and winning.

 He also said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and BJD are also against BJP today. Yashwant Sinha, while accusing PM Modi and Amit Shah, had said that they could go to any extent to win the election. Not only that, Yashwant Sinha had said that in today's moment, many democratic institutions, including the judiciary, have weakened.
