Ghaziabad, Police arrested a 24-year-old man on friday for apparently killing his elder brother for beating wife in Loni Kotwali area.

SHO Avdhesh Pratap Singh said, “Manoj 30 arrived at home around 2.30 AM in a drunken state and began beating his wife Anita following heated arguments”.

“In the morning, he repeated the same with his wife when his younger brother, Ankit, stifled and pushed him back forcibly due to which Manoj lost his balance and fell down on the floor. He sustained injuries in his head and became unconscious”, Singh added.

An FIR was lodged against Ankit, on the complaint of Kirshan Pal, their father, after that Ankit has been arrested and sent to jail.

The body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death, he added.
