India is pinning hopes on Jodo Nyay Yatra of former Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi. In Madhya Pradesh, it is going to pass through 7 Lok Sabha constituencies falling under 9 districts in 7 days. These include a total of 54 assembly constituencies. According to the election results of 2023, Congress is seen contesting in Morena, Gwalior and Ratlam Lok Sabha constituencies.

In the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, Congress was able to win only one seat, Chhindwara, out of 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Then CM was Kamal Nath and Chhindwara is his stronghold. Here the party made his son Nakul Nath its candidate. However, the victory margin was 37 thousand 536, which was the lowest in the state. Whereas, Congress had won all the seven seats here in the assembly elections.

Out of 24 seats here, Congress has won 11 and Kamleshwar Dodiyar of Bharat Adivasi Party has won one seat. The remaining 12 seats are with BJP. Whereas, Congress is not seen in the contest in Dewas, Guna, Rajgarh and Ujjain Lok Sabha constituencies, because out of 32 assembly seats here, 24 seats are with BJP. The action plan of the State Congress is to focus through the Yatra on those seats where it has taken lead or is in a tie.
