Bangalore: In a love jihad case from Gadag district of Karnataka in the recent past, victim Apoorva Puranik has won the battle with death. He was stabbed 23 times with an axe on March 10 by Ejaz. But, after getting the right treatment at the right time at the GIMS District Hospital, she is recovering now. Meanwhile, a video of him has also surfaced on social media. In the video, he is defending himself. Earlier, it was said that this was a marriage, a love marriage. At the same time, Apurva, who was admitted to the hospital after coming to her senses, has said that she was first raped and later she was blackmailed and married to her. According to the information that a 26-year-old MBA graduate, Apoorva belongs to a Brahmin family. Ajaz is a 30-year-old Muslim auto driver. It was during the time of commuting to and from college that the two met and Ajaz told them that he studies and drives a part-time auto. Thus Ajaz trapped them in his trap. Then one day he first raped her, recorded a video of the incident and later started blackmailing. According to Apoorva, Eijaz used to threaten her and her mother. However, in the year 2018, when she agreed to get married, she was asked to convert and made Aarfa Bano. Apoorva says, "Every document was signed without my consent from me. I want to say that this was nothing but love jihad. He didn't even take care of me. My brainwash was done in such a way that I didn't even listen to my parents. '
Apoorva, who suffered 23 blows from an axe, says, "After the marriage, he asked me not only to make non-vegetarian food but also to eat it. After having a child, he treated her like a dog. The child was forcibly fed a carnivore. It was only after my marriage that I also came to know that this man has been married for 14 years. Then I came back to my house. But Ajaz did not budge from his actions, he started sending dirty obscene messages in Urdu. I ignored because our divorce was in court. But, a day before the court hearing, he attacked me so much that even my 2-year-old child did not recognize me. '
Apoorva has appealed to every Hindu girl to marry a Hindu boy. Apoorva says, "Please marry in Hinduism and not an outsider. Because their rites and our rites are different. They don't meet at all. It becomes difficult to adjust there. If we want to preserve our culture and civilization, we must marry within our own community. Apurva says, "I am Apoorva and hope that no other girl goes through the things I went through. If you notice any changes, tell your parents. Talk to them. Don't think that they'll get you out of college or something else. Otherwise, you'll have to face things like me. Don't trust anyone except your parents. Safety of life is the first priority. '
