New Delhi: Habeas Corpus petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by MDMK leader Vaiko for former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah who has been under house arrest since Article 370 was abolished from Jammu and Kashmir, and in this petition, Vaiko said, On his invitation, Abdullah agreed to attend the former CM Annadurai's birthday celebrations in Chennai on 15 September. Since the government's decision to neutralize Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, they are not being contacted.

A further petition has been written by Vaiko that, 'Farooq Abdullah has been detained illegally. At the same time, Vaiko has written that he also asked for permission to meet Farooq from the Kashmir Authority, but no reply came from there. In such a situation, the Supreme Court should direct the Central Government to present Farooq Abdullah. So that he can participate in this function in Chennai.
