Jaipur: The victim, who had filed a rape case against the son of Mahesh Joshi, a cabinet minister in the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan, has been attacked. It is alleged that on Saturday night, some miscreants tried to kill her in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area. Two miscreants who came in the auto threw an ink-like chemical at the young woman and left, which hit her face and hand. Police are investigating the case.

Police said that on Saturday, a PCR call was received that some criminals threw something at a girl and fled. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and in this case, the victim gave a statement that when she was passing through Kalindi Kunj Road with her mother, unknown criminals threw a substance at a young woman and fled from the spot. The victim alleged that the boys said before attacking that "You will not agree, why are you not taking back the case." 

The victim was taken to the Trauma Centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where investigations revealed that blue ink was thrown on the victim's body. In this case, shaheen bagh police station has registered a case under sections 195A, 506, 323, 34 of the IPC. Rohit Joshi, the son of Mahesh Joshi, a minister in the Rajasthan government, was booked under serious sections including rape in Delhi. It is alleged that the minister's son had raped the 23-year-old girl several times by mixing her with intoxicating substances. On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered under various sections including Sections 376, 312, 328, 366, 377, 506, 509 of the IPC at The Sadar Bazar police station of Delhi Police.
