Thane: Two youths raped a minor girl in Nandivili village on Kalyan-Srimalang road near here.

The incident occurred on Thursday, when the girl, a class IX student, was talking with her friends near her house at a construction site. The convict, one of whom has been recognized as Barkya, reached there and flocked the victim's friends away after frightening them, after which the accused raped the girl there and left her on the spot.

Later, the victim, described the terrible incident to her parents when she arrived home after which a grievance was filed at Kolsewadi police station under Kalyan division.

Both the convicts booked under IPC sections including 376(rape) and 377 (unnatural offences) and sections of POCSO Act and an investigation is underway in this matter to arrest the accused.
