Mumbai Police and UP Police clash outside Farhan Akhtar's house

There was a tussle between Mirzapur police and Mumbai police over the investigation in the case filed against web series 'Mirzapur'. The entire case occurred when Mirzapur police had arrived at the house of Actor Farhan Akhtar for questioning. According to the rules, the police from another state have to obtain the permission of the Nodal Officer (Crime Branch DCP) of Mumbai police for investigation of any case in Mumbai.

The Mirzapur police has been circling the office of DCP Akbar Pathan of the crime branch for the last 2 days but the Mirzapur police is not getting permission for investigation due to the absence of DCP Akbar Pathan. On Thursday morning also, Mirzapur police reached the office of the Crime Branch DCP in Andheri but there was no help from the Mumbai police. The Mirzapur police then went out of Andheri to Khar area and went to interrogate Farhan Akhtar.

It was immediately reported to the Mumbai police and was written to the local Khar police station. The policemen of Khar police station arrived at Farhan Akhtar's house and the Uttar Pradesh police and the Mumbai police were in a fierce way at the gate of Farhan Akhtar's house. The Mumbai police personnel warned that by following the rules, come with proper permission and then inquire. After this uproar and tip-off, Mirzapur police came out of Farhan Akhtar's house.
