Chennai: Corona cases in the country now seem to be declining. In view of this, the process of unlocking has been initiated at many places. Amidst all this, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has issued a statement. He said only strict lockdown against Covid is effective. The lockdown was imposed in the state till June 7. CM Stalin had said the decision was taken to prevent corona infection.

The lockdown in Tamil Nadu was extended till June 7 to break the link to corona infection. CM Stalin had announced this last Friday. He had said that the decision has been taken to prevent the spread of infection. Earlier, the lockdown in the state was extended till May 31, which has now been extended again to June 7. At the same time, the state government on Saturday announced a concession in several restrictions between 6 a.m. on May 31 and 6 a.m. on June 7.

An order issued by Chief Secretary V Irai Ambu that the activities that have been exempted during the lockdown, which will come into effect from May 31. It allows export units with a capacity of 50 per cent workers in all districts except Coimbatore, Tirupur, Salem, Karur, Erode, Namakkal, Trichy and Madurai to continue functioning on behalf of the government.
