New Delhi: Pakistan is not only preparing a new consignment of terrorists to disrupt India after the Taliban regime came into force in Afghanistan, but is also promoting the smuggling of drugs from across the border. In addition to Adani Port, the Modi government at the Centre has also come into alert mode following the recovery of drugs from across the border in Jammu and Kashmir. Even the Home Ministry is engaged in formulating a system of strict action against drug trafficking on the lines of terrorism.

In this order, on the lines of the Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) to combat terrorism, the Ministry of Home Affairs has set up a Narco Coordination Centre to effectively curb drug trafficking. In addition, the caesar information management system (SIMS) has been created to monitor large cases of drugs at the highest level. Bilateral agreements have been signed with 26 countries to take action against smuggling rockets spread across other countries. According to a source in the Ministry of Home Affairs, better coordination and monitoring systems between agencies are proving effective in detecting drug trafficking.

To stop drug trafficking and terrorist activities. Experts point out that Narco Coordination Centre was formed only in 2016, but extended to the district level in 2019. It ensures the real-time exchange of information between agencies in every case of drug trafficking from district to national level. Due to this, based on the information received in a district, prompt action is ensured against drug traffickers in any part of the country.
