Bengaluru: Corona's havoc in Karnataka is increasing rapidly. The number of corona patients is increasing. In Karnataka, more than 5,000 corona infected have been found for the third consecutive day. With this, the total number of corona patients has reached 90,942. On Saturday, 5,072 of these have been confirmed infected. 2,036 Corona cases have been reported from Bengaluru alone. A total of 55,388 infections continue to be treated and 33,750 patients were successful in beating Corona. Of these, 2,403 infected have been discharged from the hospital on Saturday. A total of 611 patients are admitted in ICU in the state, including 339 in Bangalore.

On Saturday, the health department also confirmed the death of 72 more infected people. So far, a total of 1,796 infectives have died of corona. 32,756 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. With the confirmation of 2,036 new infections in Bengaluru city, the figure of total corona patients has reached 43,503. Out of these, 31,882 corona patients are under treatment. 10,758 patients have recovered from corona. On Saturday, 686 of these patients were discharged from the hospital. 862 patients lost their lives due to corona infection.

Eeven in Belagavi district, Corona has spread fast. There are 341 new corona patients found here. Out of a total of 1,986 infected, 1,477 patients are under treatment and 40 of the infected have not been saved from corona. Apart from this, 222 new infections have been confirmed in Ballari district. Out of 3,511 corona patients, 1,540 patients have been cured while 1,902 are active cases. The 69 infected could not be saved.
