Orchha: Ladpura Khas village in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh has been nominated for the Best Tourism Village category at the UN World Tourism Organisation Award. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted after hearing this. In this tweet, he said, "Congratulations to all the officers and staff of the Tourism Department for this achievement. This is a proud moment for all of us because Ladpura Khas village in Madhya Pradesh has been named as the best tourism village category. On the other hand, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture, Shiv Shekhar Shukla says, "The Union Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has nominated Ladpura Khas village in Orchha as the best tourism village.'' At the same time, he also said, "At the same time, two other villages have been enrolled from Meghalaya and the other from Telangana. The Rural Tourism Project was launched to bring about the concept of rural tourism by adding new dimensions to the tourism sector.''

He further said, "In the next five years, 100 villages will be developed in terms of rural tourism. These include Orchha, Khajuraho, Mandu, Sanchi, Panchmarhi, Tamia, Panna National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Sanjay Dubri National Park, Kanha National Park, Mitavali, and Padavali among others.
