Mumbai, On Monday, Shiv Sena ministers, MPs, MLAs with city mayor Snehal Ambekar visited Deonar to take stock of the situation and demanded stoppage of the dumping ground. Prior,Sanjay Nirupam(Mumbai Congress chief) had urged that the dumping ground should be shut and no garbage should be dumped there anymore. Currently, Ashish Shelar( Mumbai BJP chief)and MP Kirit Somaiyya had called on the dumping ground with other leaders and senior corporators.

Ramdas Kadam( state environment minister from Shiv Sena) said,"Do BJP leaders have any role in Deonar fire. Are Shelar or Somaiyya behind the frequent fire," questioned Kadam after visiting the dumpy yard.

Let inquiry be initiated and let the truth come out," Kadam added,"Even if the mayor, chairman of standing committee and environment minister are from Sena, appointment of municipal commissioner is done by the chief minister, who is from BJP. If civic chief is unable to take measures for controlling fire, then our government is good for nothing,"
