Darbhanga: In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested for allegedly carrying beef to temple premises in Bihar's Darbhanga district. An FIR has been registered at Ghanshyampur police station in the district. The officer said that samples of meat have been taken for investigation and locals have alleged that this is beef. The BJP MLA, who reached the spot after the incident, has demanded strict action from the police administration, accusing the criminal of deliberately hurting religious sentiments.
The case is of Pali village of Ghanshyampur police station area where a man was caught by people while soaking a bag full of meat at the hand pump of Hanuman Temple campus on the roadside. The arrested person was identified as Majeed Alam. It is being said that Majeed Alam is a resident of Rupaspur village in the Alinagar police station area of Darbhanga. The people of the village say that Majeed Alam was riding on a motorcycle on which the sack was filled with meat, after suspecting his movement, the locals started questioning the motorcycle-borne youth.
According to the villagers, the young man first said that there was sattu in the sack, but when the suspicion deepened, people opened the mouth of the closed sack and saw it. According to the news, a huge amount of meat was kept inside the sack. After that, when the people questioned the culprit strictly, the young man confessed. The locals then immediately informed the Ghanshyampur police station. The police reached the spot and took the criminal with them to the police station and registered a case against the youth on the complaint of the locals and arrested him. Confirming the arrest of the culprit, SDPO Manish Chandra Chaudhary of the area said that immediately on the complaint of the people, an FIR has been registered in the police station and the culprit has been arrested, while the sample of the meat piece is being sent for investigation. After the investigation, it will be known whose piece of meat was.
