Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Tyagi's troubles seem to be mounting. A petition has been filed against him in the Allahabad High Court seeking to stop him from making statements on the Prophet Mohammad of Islam and the Quran. It has been said in the petition that Tyagi is trying to vitiate the atmosphere by making objectionable statements on Islam and Prophet Mohammad.

According to the report, the petition was filed in the High Court by Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz Association Secretary Mohammad Yusuf Omar Ansari through advocate Saher Naqvi. It has demanded an order on Jitendra Narayan Tyagi to stop making statements on Prophet Mohammed on social media and electronic media. The petitioner Ansari has also written to the Home Ministry in the case of "blasphemy" against Jitendra Narayan Tyagi by making statements on the Prophet and Quran.

The petitioner has alleged in the High Court that Wasim Rizvi alias Jitendra Narayan Tyagi in his book 'Mohammad' has mentioned 19 terms like 'Islamic terrorism' and 'Hunain's rape scandal', which is detrimental to social peace and security. The petition termed Tyagi as a criminal-minded person. It has also been claimed that 27 cases have been registered against Tyagi at various police stations. Strict action has been sought from the court against them. The petition claims that the Quran has a 1400-year-old history, but it has never been questioned. Rizvi does not believe in any religion. He lack humanity.
