Ujjain: In the month of Sawan, a huge crowd of Kanwadiyas is being seen these days. In the meantime, Kanwadiyas, who had come to Ujjain last night to have a darshan of Baba Mahakal after having a darshan of Omkareshwar Mahadev, got angry when anti-social elements dragged the Kanwadiyas of some Kanwadiyas on him and ran away from the spot after indecency with them. Thereafter, the angry Kanwadiyas reached a big figure and blocked the Indore-Ujjain highway. The Kanwadiyas alleged that the perpetrators of the indecency were Muslims, who were armed with weapons and wearing caps.
The same angry Kavadis blocked the Indore-Ujjain Highway at Tapobhoomi Chauraha under the Nanakheda police station area at 10:30 pm saying that there were no security arrangements all along the way. Seeing the commotion at the spot after 30 minutes of the jam, the force of two police stations along with the SHO, the CSP and the traffic police station in-charge also reached the spot and calmed down the matter. Kanwadiyas stuck to the demand for CCTV footage and security and permission to offer water to the temple.
In order to extract the CCTV footage at the Tapo Bhoomi intersection on the same Indore-Ujjain highway, the Kanwadiyas told the police that you see. The same CSP Vinod Kumar Meena has spoken about taking action and conveying the message to senior officers.
