New Delhi: The Muslim National Forum (MRM), a Muslim wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has appealed to the minority community to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the proposed assembly elections in five states, saying Muslims are safest and happiest under the BJP regime, while congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) consider Muslims as their vote bank only.

Referring to various schemes implemented by BJP governments at the Centre and in states for the welfare of Muslims, MRM said the party is the biggest well wisher of Muslims in the country. At the same time, MRM alleged that all opposition parties including Congress, SP and BSP have treated Muslims as their vote bank only and after coming to power they have given things like poverty, illiteracy, backwardness and triple talaq to the people of this community. MRM national convener Shahid Sayeed said the MRM's 'request letter' has appeared as a pamphlet and has been released at a meeting to distribute it to poll-based states, led by MRM founder and chief patron Indresh Kumar. He said the pamphlet will be distributed among members of the minority community to seek votes for the BJP in UP, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab.

At the same time, Shaheed Sayeed said that the Modi government at the Centre has launched a total of 36 welfare schemes since 2014, including New Light, Naya Savera, New Udaan, Learn and Earn, Ustad and New Floor for the benefit of minority communities. MRM said members of minority communities have also benefited from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Startup India and other schemes launched by the Modi government.
