New Delhi: During the vote of thanks to the President's address, PM Narendra Modi is presenting his speech in Rajya Sabha today. At this time, all eyes are on PM's speech. In his address, PM Modi is waiting for answers to all the questions raised by opposition leaders regarding agricultural laws. Since the beginning of the budget session of Parliament, the Opposition is constantly attacking the Central Government regarding the agricultural laws. Now in the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi surrounded the opposition and said 'Many Congress leaders including Sharad Pawar have also talked about agricultural reforms. Sharad Pawar still did not oppose the reforms, we did what he liked and will continue to improve. Today the opposition is making a U-turn because politics dominate.' With this, PM Modi read the statement of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the House, 'Our thinking is that what is hindered in bringing big market, our effort is to allow the farmer to sell the produce.'

Further PM Modi said, 'Whatever Manmohan Singh said, Modi has to do it, please be proud. Milk labourers, animal husbandry, successful workmen have a free hand. But farmers do not have this exemption.' Further in his statement, he said- ''When Lal Bahadur Shastri ji had to do agricultural reforms, he still had to face difficulties. But he did not back down. At that time, the Left used to call Congress an agent of America, today they are abusing me. Any law has come, reforms happen after some time.''

During his address, PM Modi appealed and said, ''We have to move forward by explaining the agitators, let the abuses go to my account but let the reforms happen. Elders are sitting in agitation, they should go home. End the movement and keep the discussion moving forward. Continuous discussions are being held with farmers." Not only this but PM Modi also assured the farmers that 'MSP is, was and will remain. Mandis are being strengthened. The 80 crore people who are given ration in the winter will also continue. Emphasis is being laid on other measures to increase farmers' income. If we delay now, we will push the farmers towards darkness.'
