Ahmedabad: Hardik Patel today took on the BJP. He has been made to join the party by state president C R Patil. Apart from Patil and Nitin Patel, no other senior leaders were present on the occasion. Hardik Patel had left the Congress party last month.  Reactions from political leaders have also started coming to Hardik Patel's joining the BJP.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister and BJP leader Narottam Mishra posted from the indigenous social media platform Koo and wrote, "Hardik Patel ji is welcome to the BJP.  Rohit Agarwal, the spokesperson of Uttar Pradesh's opposition party, The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), has taken a dig at Hardik Patel for joining the BJP. He wrote in his Koo post, "Hardik Patel has become from the BJP. It is expected that the treason cases against him will now come to an end and he will also become holy by anointing him with Gangajal.''

Hardik was appointed as the working president of Gujarat state by the congress. But Hardik alleged that he did not have the freedom and the right to work. He had questioned the way the state Congress worked several times.

Before joining the BJP, Hardik had tweeted, "I am going to start a new chapter from today with the feelings of national interest, state interest, public interest and social interest. I will be a small soldier in the ongoing task of service to the nation under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Bhai Modi ji.''
