Nashik: A major accident has taken place in Nashik, Maharashtra amid the global epidemic of coronavirus. The oxygen tank at Dr. Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik has been leaked. 22 patients have lost their lives in the accident. Meanwhile, the condition of 12 people is critical. Reports suggest that the leakage occurred while filling the tanker. Oxygen had spread to the hospital premises due to leakage.

Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has demanded an inquiry into the matter. State government minister Rajendra Shingne has ordered an inquiry. Health Minister Rajesh Tope has left for Nashik along with FDA minister Rajendra Single. FDA Minister Rajendra Shingne said "We will look into it and work to ensure that such an incident does not happen in the coming days. He said 'This is an unfortunate accident. Initial information revealed that 11 people have lost their lives. We are attempting to get a detailed investigation report. At the same time, we have ordered an inquiry" The minister said, 'Whoever is responsible will not be spared'.
