Like every time, Pakistan had to face the Kashmir issue once again on the world stage. Pakistan's United Nations Security Council has failed all bets on Kashmir. Pakistan wanted to get the support of the UNSC on Kashmir's issue against India all over the world. But Pakistan's attempt to get support again failed on Wednesday. Pakistan only got the support of its evergreen friend China. In the Security Council, India made it clear that in order to normalize bilateral relations, Pakistan has to focus on some important issues.

Despite being defeated on Wednesday, Pakistan again tried to raise the Kashmir issue in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) through China. China wanted to discuss Kashmir in the closed room of the Security Council under 'other subjects'. Syed Akbaruddin, India's permanent representative to the UN, said, "Once again we saw that one member tried to raise this issue, which was not supported by anyone else. We are glad that the Security Council did not find any unwarranted allegations by Pakistan in this matter worth discussing."

Pakistan's ally China pressured for this meeting. Even after removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two union territories in August, China called a UNSC meeting on the issue. However, China and Pakistan did not get anything from it then, because the members of the Security Council refused to take action, terming it as an internal issue of India. After this, in December China also requested for a meeting to discuss Kashmir, but then the meeting did not take place.
