Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal On Thursday has launched the Anti-Depression Squad of the Forest Department. Its objective will be to deploy in 15 major human-wildlife conflict districts to ensure the safety of both humans and wildlife.

According to media reports, where there is a conflict between humans and wildlife. This squad will serve to ensure the safety of humans and wildlife. Under this squad, 12 bore pumps, action guns (150) and 150 rounds of rubber will be used.

The Anti-Depression Squad was formally launched by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the presence of Minister of Environment and Forests Parimal Shuklabadia at an event organized at Assam's Administrative Staff College Guwahati. Due to this commendable step of the government, the protection of wildlife is going to increase in the coming time.
