On Tuesday, Army Chief Manoj Mukund Narwane along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat are in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur. His visit is considered important for many matters. Today the fourth Veterans Day celebrations have been organized here in which he participated. After being elected the first Chief of Defense Staff, for the first time General Rawat is attending an official function outside Delhi.

According to media reports, Chief of Army Staff Manoj Narwane addressed the program on this occasion. He said, 'Even after the retirement, ex-servicemen continue to build the nation through different areas. The welfare of these veterans is our priority and always has been. Last year, we helped 240 officers and 11,500 JCOs to get jobs after retirement.' He further said, 'We are inducting a total of 1700 women into the Corps Military Police. Training has started for the same.'
