Hubli: Nurses of the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences in Hubli have stopped protesting. After getting assurance from Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad Nitish Patil, the nurses have put a break on the protest. The protest was initiated by accusing the management of being negligent.

Protests were held in front of KIMS in Dharwad district of the state on Wednesday by nurses who alleged that the administration did not provide adequate personal safety equipment (PPE) kits, face masks, and sanitary facilities among the corona infections.

On the protest, a nurse said that they have told us that we were 'Corona Warriors', but we have not been given the proper equipment to protect ourselves. When we brought it to the notice of the Chief Administrative Officers (CAO), he tore our memorandum and treated us badly. Today we are protesting. DC addressed this issue to demand. DC Nitesh Patil of Dharwad District has assured her that he will meet with her in the morning and resolve the issue.
