Reacting to this statement of Pawar, BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar has said, "Pawar is a mature leader and Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country. I do not know what was discussed between these two big leaders, but is it appropriate to discuss something that happened between two senior leaders openly in such a way?"

In his statement, Mungantiwar said that this said by Sharad Pawar is one-sided. The Prime Minister will not deny this. Therefore, such things should not be discussed in public. There has never been any discussion on this subject even in the meeting of the core committee of us. NCP had initially supported the BJP's minority Fadnavis government from outside in 2014. This time too, it was believed that after the displeasure of Shiv Sena, NCP and BJP can form a government together. This possibility also appeared to be true when Ajit Pawar, the leader of NCP Legislature Party, along with Devendra Fadnavis, took everyone by taking the oath of office as Deputy Chief Minister.
