Raipur: Two people, including an assistant commandant of the ITBP, have been killed in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh. Two people were killed when Naxalites attacked a road opening party of security forces on Narayanpur-Barsoor Road in the state. Assistant Commandant Sudhakar Sinde (Nanded, Maharashtra) and 45 BN ITBP jawans Gurmukh (Punjab) were killed in the Naxal attack.
The martyred jawans belonged to the E Koy 45 Battalion of ITBP. Military help has been rushed to the spot after the attack. A search operation by security forces is on after the attack. IG Bastar P Sundarraj said that Naxalites attacked near ITBP camp Kadameta in Narayanpur district. Two ITBP jawans were killed in the attack. The Naxalites looted an AK-47 rifle, two bullet-proof jackets, and a wireless set and fled the spot.
